Steve Hesselbo is Professor of Geology at University of Exeter. His research interests are broadly in the area of Earth history and particularly the interplay of long-term environmental changes and short-term shocks to the system. He use a range of laboratory and field techniques at the interface of stratigraphy, sedimentology, geochemistry and palaeobotany. He is largely involved in the international collaborative JET project – Integrated Understanding of the Early Jurassic Earth System and Timescale.
